How do I know if I am dealing with a narcissist?
How do you know if you are dealing with a narcissist?
I can tell you from experience, that you might not know you are dealing with a narcissist until the person is no longer in your life.
For starters, a narcissist is someone who has an inflated sense of self importance.
1. A narcissist lacks empathy.
2. A narcissist only does what is good for them.
3. A narcissist constantly hurts other people.
4. A narcissist gaslights you. This means:
- You feel more anxious around the person as time goes on.
- You feel like everything you do is wrong.
- You feel everything is your fault.
- You find yourself apologizing often.
- You feel that something is wrong constantly but don't know what it is.
- You make excuses for the person doing you wrong.
- You are manipulated.
5. A narcissist thinks they are right about everything.
6. If it is a relationship, a narcissist dances around as defining it as official. They make excuses.
7. A narcissist constantly play games.
8. A narcissist constantly lies.
9. A narcissist cannot take responsibility for their actions.
10. A narcissist will disappear for a length of time with no explanation (ghosting).
11. A narcissist makes you seem crazy.
12. A narcissist can never be alone.
13. A narcissist always makes you feel alone.
14. A narcissist will turn other people against you (or try to).
15. A narcissist will never change.
